It’s no secret that success is a team effort, and as a leader, Paul Kosinski knows that human capital is the single most important resource and asset that he has in his tool kit. He takes great pride in crafting teams comprised of dedicated individuals who know how instrumental their roles are in the success of the company. As a result, he builds teams of professionals who enjoy going to work each day, knowing that their work is appreciated. Paul knows that not every job is stimulating and that there are going to be days that aren’t fun, but ensuring that your team is recognized for their accomplishments is the best way to keep people at your company long-term. While the finance industry tends to see a fair amount of job-hopping, Paul is proud to have attracted, motivated, and retained a team of high-caliber individuals with an average of 15 years’ tenure in the industry.
Paul Kosinski attended Pace University’s Lubin School of Business in New York, New York, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics, graduating with honors in 2007. From there, he attended Saint John’s University’s Peter J. Tobin College of Business, where he graduated with his Masters in Business Administration in International Finance in 2011.
Throughout his career, Paul has held a number of different roles, working in finance and analysis. He spent some time with Natixis North America, a financial services company offering financing, advisory, insurance, banking, and non-life insurance services, serving as an investment banking intern. From there, he transitioned into a role as Analyst and Management Trainee with a global securities trading and brokerage firm and global investment bank. From there, he worked with the Vincentian Congregation of the Mission as the Assistant to the Executive Treasurer. Here his work included performing financial analyses and dual entry accounting in multiple countries for multiple currencies, compiling data regarding the organization’s financial health and reporting on it, and analyzing and reporting on more than $40 million in portfolio performance, to name a few.
After more than a year with the Congregation, Paul Kosinski made the move to entrepreneurship and co-founded SuttonPark Capital LLC, where he remains today. He began his career with the firm as their Vice President of Finance, a position he held for more than five years before moving into the role of Chief Financial Officer, where he stayed for four and a half years. Now, Paul is the Chief Operating Officer at SuttonPark Capital, where he continues to help grow and shape the firm. He has the chance to use his leadership skills to foster and nurture relationships with investors – both internal and external – as well as stakeholders, lenders, placement agents, and ratings agencies, to create beneficial and lasting relationships.
